Relevance The best links you get will have relevance to the market and niche you’re targeting. the less relevant links are the less quality they have. they still count for something but they just don’t measure up as well as relevant links obviously Context Getting quality links that are within context are the creme of the back-link world. Do your best to get contextual links from highly optimized websites that have a lot of relevant content. Links to your site surrounded by that kind of content is prime real estate. Difficulty The more difficult the link is to get the more valuable it usually is. Very often we will need to make a healthy investment somewhere to secure these links, whether its investing time with the people controlling powerful, relevant sites, investing time and energy into compelling content or investing pure cash it will always be difficult to get valuable links. So look for the hard ones. Humanity It seems that the less Human contact involved in link getting there is the better. However more often than not the highest quality links will require some sort of human element. That means you need to be willing to pick up the phone to call a webmaster or email as many relevant blog owners as possible or finding a way to network with fellow site owners at conferences and meetings. There’s always some human somewhere in charge of the links so find them! Credibility Links that come from trusted, high PR will do wonders for the credibility of your own site. Perceived value is very easy to manipulate and especially on the internet. Getting acknowledgment from trusted sites will increase that perceived value astronomically. Authority right there with credible links are links that come from websites that have a great degree of authority within their niche. If many people go to them for information and use them as a source of support and inspiration for their sites then you know you’ve got a great link. Investment Valuable links require an investment. You’ll need to put in some sort of effort whether it be actually paying for the link or doing the necessary schmoozing with the right people to get the link. Perhaps its even targeting some high quality content towards a set of high quality niches. Whatever it is the best links always require some kind of investment to get. About the Author:
