Wiseman and Stiller offer fine support as his cold hearted dad and a con man he naively believes in. Lots of recognizable faces in tiny roles - Tony Roberts, Richard Shull, John Fiedler, Jo Van Fleet, William Hickey, Eileen Heckart, and numerous others. Cast includes Robin Williams, Joseph Wiseman, Jerry Stiller, and Glenne Headly. (93 minutes,’86) Gun the Man Down - Injured outlaw vows retribution on associates who left him in the middle of a stickup gone badly. Cast includes James Arness, Angie Dickinson, Robert Wilke, and Emile Meyer. (78 minutes,’56) AI Artificial Intelligence - In the near future, scientist Hurt and his team create a highly advanced android child who might face feelings, containing love. His adoption by a nice couple who have lost a child is riddled with problems. This absorbing story draws us in, thanks in part to Osment’s wonderful performance. Cast includes Haley Joel Osment, Jude Law, Frances O’Connor, Brendan Gleeson, Sam Robards, William Hurt, Jake Thomas, Ken Leung, Michael Mantell, and Adrian Grenier. (145 minutes, 2001) The Gene Krupa Story - Routine rendition of awesome jazz drummer’s life, his ups and downs, and his fight with pill dependency Cast includes Don Weis, Sal Mineo, Susan Kohner, James Darren, Susan Oliver, Yvonne Craig, Lawrence Dobkin, Red Nichols, and Buddy Lester. (101 minutes,’59) Watch a motion picture realize that you are doing yourself a good turn. You can enjoy yourself in some calm downtime while permitting yourself a much-needed escape.
