It’s fun to trade opinions on favorite movies and favorite actors. Everybody has an opinion and none is more right or wrong but everyone has their own favorites that they like. Some actors surprise us with their immense talent, some actors are pretty to look at and then of course some are both of those things. Now and again we admire an actor more for what he does away from the movie set as for what they do onscreen since some actors are just remarkable people who use their fame and fortune to aid others who are less fortunate throughout the world. Barnyard - Animated craziness set on a farm where, after sundown, the animals turn the barn into a boisterous nightclub. James is Otis, a young cow who is very mature, much to the disappointment of his dad, Ben Elliott, who keeps watch for preying coyotes when the others party. Dom Irrera stands out as Duke the Dog. Cast includes Courtney Cox, Sam Elliott, Danny Glover, Wanda Sykes, Andie MacDowell, David Koechner, and Laraine Newman. (90 minutes, 2006)

The Beverly Hillbillies: This is a movie based on the’60’s TV series. When Jed Clampett by chance discovers oil on his rural land in Arkansas, he becomes an instant millionaire. He brings the entire Clampett kinfolk out to Beverly Hills. Being uncomplicated country folk they are prey to every money hungry con artist in the big city.

Solar Crisis: Futuristic sci-fi thriller with Matheson leading a save the Earth mission to the sun to stop a solar flash from annihilating the world. Fine visual effects and suspenseful tale in space harmed by world pranks of poor boy Boyle who preposterously desires to challenge the mission. Cast includes Tim Matheson, Charlton Heston, Peter Boyle, and Annabel Schofield. (112 minutes,’90)

Live Free Or Die Hard - The U. S. is under attack. A criminal mind is attacking the system with modern secrets. It is now up to Detective John McClane and talented computer hacker Matt Farrell to find and stop whoever is doing the attacking.

The Music of Chance - A thriller in regards to clairvoyant, suicidal Ivanek, powerless to command his powers, who moves his bad dreams to psychiatrist Harrold and causes confusion in a clinic. Cast includes James Spader, Mandy Patinkin, M. Emmett Walsh, Charles Durning (98 minutes,’93)
