In the circle of friends that I have made online, I have one girlfriend that is the lady of Social Media. When the rest of us were hearing about this new thing on the net, she was already fully in place on six of these groups and had started three more for her targeted group. If there is something new online, my girlfriend hears about it first. Already in place, my girlfriend Lisa emailed the rest of us to quickly join her. While others online were finding out about all of this, we were in place and getting ready to start marketing on these new sites. But before we signed on the dotted line we asked Lisa why we should join her. She started telling us what this internet tool could accomplish for our online business. Lisa told us about this new online device that we could use for targeted marketing. No more spam and no more emailing of lists to people that do not want to read what you sent them. This new media was all about relationships. Though this would at the beginning be a slower way to get your information out, long term these contacts would be targeted people and more beneficial to our business. Because everyone wants to know if they can trust you before they join your venture, this avenue would allow people to really get to know who you are. Building these relationships would build your business as people get to know who you are and how you conduct yourself in the online environment. This would build the trust factor that is needed for someone to join your online business. Lisa proved once again that she knew the way to move forward. Trusting her, we followed her into the new realm of these groups and found that new friendships were formed. It takes a little longer, but just as we had followed our friend into these groups, others began to be willing to follow us into our ventures. If no one visits your websites, it will not matter how many of them you have out in cyberspace. These groups help you meet others who would have similar interests, as these are targeted groups. You meet one person who knows twenty or thirty more. When you like something, you want to share the information with others. If your new friend likes your product, and believes that you can be trusted, they will tell all their friends. So what Lisa showed us was to be choosy about which groups we joined, as there were so many popping up everywhere. She explained that quality was better than quantity. You would want to be on three sites and able to build relationships there, than to be on ten sites and not be able to keep up with them. We could see the importance of being careful about which sites we joined. Each group is targeted to a specific area so it is critical to join the one that works with your personal online venture. Social media is a tool for the savvy marketer to use. By thinking through what you want to promote, and looking at the various options out there of the different sites to join, you can make an informed decision on which one you fit into. Then become active on the site so people get to know you. That is the beginning of new relationships that will help you promote your venture, which is what these sites are all about. Internet marketing is the first choice of many individuals starting a home-based business. For a free copy of E-Business; An Insider’s Edge please visit PLR Internet Marketing Today! |
