Here is a small guide about getting a person’s weblog more page views or even a more beneficial ranking on search engine listings (SEO stands for search engine optimisation and is the process of getting an individual’s weblog, or any website for that matter, a more effective rank on search engines like yahoo). It should be taken into account however, that it may take a while for your blog site to get found by an internet search engine although these tips should also end up being useful for that. It may take a blog site a number of weeks to get spotted by Yahoo and also to start showing up higher for specific search phrases. 1 - Post Titles Titles are extremely important for running a blog. Try to create snappy, content driven headings. This helps two folds. First of all, readers are far more likely to look over the post when you have a great heading. Think of it the same as print media - head lines in newspapers and magazines are cleverly and meticulously written for maximum impact. Secondly, key words which you use in the post title are also picked up by search engines like google. For instance, a post title may be ‘Search Engine Optimisation Recommendations for Writing a Blog’ which usually means it will eventually get picked up when someone searches for anything similar. A really good rule that you ought to attempt to use often is to front end your titles. Quite simply you arrange the title so that the most important word or phrase will be at the start of the heading. Let us see an example from a popular tv program: “Space, the final frontier” compared to “The final frontier, [is] Space” You could examine this sentence and even go into fine detail of exactly why the front ending has more impact (or not, in the event that you don’t agree) but hopefully you will notice that it sounds more dramatic. Front ending is utilized a lot in literature and by brilliant bloggers as well as headline writers. Simply by switching the order of the post title, you can easily target certain content and improve your title’s effectiveness. Let’s take a look at an example title and a small number of different versions: “SEO Tips for Blogging”, “Blogging Tips - Search engine optimization”, “Blogging - SEO” “Blogging Tips about Search engine optimization” etc. Recent user research has demonstrated that most people categorically do not read much of the text on the Net. Especially titles, guidance, comments and so forth. They’ll read the first couple of words and ignore the majority. That’s why it really is important to make sure the very first words are usually the key words which will get people’s attention. Also be sure to keep it simple as well as not very lengthy - unless you are publishing a very detailed article about something fairly complex. 2 - Keywords and phrases This is actually similar to the above tip but you ought to recognize your key words as well as exactly how to utilize them. It really is essential to use key words intelligently throughout an article so that it is indexed but also not totally obvious. So for example, if perhaps you have an article regarding Seo suggestions you may possibly include a range of keywords including: SEO, blogging, web sites, search engine optimization, Google, Yahoo, Bing, search results, keywords and phrases, back links, page rank and so on. You should not make it totally obvious you are aiming for these key phrases - they ought to appear naturally in the piece of writing. This is not a challenging tip to follow, if you create articles that tend to be nicely organised and of a high standard then this ought to come naturally. However you should pay close attention to this idea if you write a post which is personal in nature. Many people frequently write personal blogs like they are diaries and then question the key reason why nobody visits them. That is because writing: “I had a pleasant walk in the park today” is less likely to get discovered by a search engine when compared with “We had a wonderful stroll in Regent’s Park yesterday, I felt just like a tourist in London”. In the first sentence there are not any strong keywords to pick up on. In the next sentence there is “Regent’s Park”, “tourist” and “London”. People looking for these things just may well encounter your blog! Obviously we are playing a bit of a game here but if you wish to raise your own organic search result position then this is often one particular method in order to improve it. One other important idea for peple who are working with a blogging service (e.g. Wordpress or Blogger) is to always keyword/tag/label your posts. This is basically a way to get a hold of site visitors (lots of people using blogging services search for posts using tags) similarly it can be a great strategy to help search engines find the weblog. 3 - Socialize Should people expect to get noticed, it is vital to put your blog site out there! Reply to other people’s blogs/twitter accounts etc. Send out emails, leave messages and attempt to build a friendship with other people who blog about similar topics to you. Hopefully you can ask for a blogroll exchange (they will hyperlink back to you and also you link to them). This can be slightly more challenging for you to achieve and it may also take a while for you to get somewhere with this. Nonetheless it is beneficial to attempt to have some links to your web site. Furthermore, being a part of a blog community is actually quite fun and provides everyone another thing to do with your blog whenever you are not composing articles. You can also register for a bookmarking network. Many allow you to bookmark articles or blog posts you find (including your own), send them to your colleagues and even promote your weblog. 4 - Publish Fast This is probably difficult for you to do unless you are a pro-blogger or have got plenty of free time. Writing faster than other writers means your article will get noticed by a search engine quicker compared to other blogposts providing you a head start to acquire traffic and also work your way to the top of the search engine results. For instance, if you are really fast and write ahead of another web log about the latest release of a movie or blog about the most recent news concerning a organization then a search engine is more likely to display your result first because you have already been indexed first. Does this make sense? It is complicated to demonstrate but it is rather straight forward - get ahead of your competition! One great idea is to make use of an online bookmarking provider or personalised home page. These will help anyone save plenty of time online, which means anyone can be even more economical and publish quicker. You can bookmark your favorite websites as well as resources which will certainly help you manage your online time efficiently. 5 - Content Finally, content is essential. Not always what you write about, but whether or not you write good, useful articles. This may seem to be somewhat trivial but it is important. Visitors enjoy having something to read, so always be sure to try and blog something worthy of their time. Except if you simply have an image/video blog then go ahead and post away. But having good content ultimately should mean readers take a look at your blog and hang around. When you have good titles and feature keywords in your content then that will certainly also really help. What really helps a web log is having dedicated visitors which might possibly even register to a feed or maybe have your blog saved. Blogging is a personal thing at the end of the day - individuals blog for different reasons. Nonetheless, if you are hoping to get noticed by search engines like Google then these few ideas will hopefully help you. This article has been written by the author, Alex Blaken. Optimize Search Engine Results | How to Optimize Search Engine Results | Optimize Search Engine Results |
Blogs are a very popular ways of promoting your product or service. They are easy to install, easy to administer and easy to update. And search engines love them too. But what is a blog without traffic? Here are five quick ways to boost traffic to your blog and start seeing those big sales. #1: Submit to blog search engines. Many search engines are available that list only blogs. You should find at least 20 if you Google for “blog search engines”. These blog search engines will help generate targeted traffic to your blog. For the best results, you must write a good title and a good description for your blog, so that people will easily find it and click on your link. 2. Update your content regularly. Search engines and blog services thrive on regular updates. It’s very likely that you will get targeted traffic from search engines if you post often. That means you should make a new post to your blog at least daily. But be careful. Too many updates per day can harm your search engines position and hits. 10 or more is probably too many. Step 3: Post in Forums, but never SPAM them. A typical strategy is to post something relevant and interesting and include a link to your blog in your signature. Be sure to post in forums that are aligned with your blog content, don’t just post in any forum. For example, if you are selling photo blockers for your license plate, post in forums about vehicles or travel. Don’t post in music forums if you are selling computers. Posting in forums creates 1-way links which enhance search engines positions, particularly Google, MSN or yahoo. Step 4: Develop a list of blog services to ping. There are many blogs services that you can ping. Pinging means that you notify the service that you have updated your blog. In turn, you gain traffic through the updated listing in these services. There are a list of 50+ blog services that you can ping on my site. This should be more than enough to provide an initial jump in traffic to your blog. 5.Add buttons to popular news readers What does this mean? Well there are sites like yahoo, Google or bloglines etc., which have a members area where you can select sites with RSS feeds to fetch the latest updates from different blogs. That way you can have the latest updates from let’s say 50 blogs listed on one page. Adhere to these 5 steps and you will certainly increase the traffic to your blog. And the so long awaited sales will start to roll in. Please don’t forget to update your blog with fresh original content that you have written yourself. Blogging Myths Shattered

Optimize Search Engine Results | How to Optimize Search Engine Results | Optimize Search Engine Results |
The are still numerous myths floating around the blogosphere and you really have to marvel at all the different information sources, many of them conflicting. So here are my debunkings: Any ordinary Joe can start a blog. Not quite sure about that! Do you enjoy writing? Do you have specialized knowledge you want to share? Are you passionate about a certain topic? If you answered No to any or all of these questions, think again. Anyone can set up a blog. It all depends on your blog hosts. Some blogs hosts have simpler user interface and in minutes your blog will be up in minutes. But there are others that get far more technical than the average user may be ready for. Blogging is just a breeze, I’m done before you know it. When you have a clear idea of what you want to say, writing posts may take just a few minutes. Those that involve complex issues or thoughts on the other hand might be a little harder to crack. Most blogs are political. Nope, only some. Many blogs focus on political topics but most blogs are just bloggers discussing their lives, loves and travels. A list of the 50 most visited blogs at BlogHub (http://www.bloghub.com/top50blogs.htm) shows very few political blogs. Blogs are in competition with the main-stream media. This is true in a few cases (not as many cases as bloggers would have you think). Just recently, there have been some very popular and influential social and politically-oriented blogs that have caused main-stream media outlets to back-track and change their coverage of important events. Bloggers just criticize and have no new information to add. This may be true in some cases but blogging today is much more than the personal activity it used to be. Corporations, media outlets, public personalities, politicians and experts in almost every field have now joined the ranks of blog producers. Considering all this expertise, one would have to say that bloggers have a lot of new information to add to any debate. Not everything written on a blog is true. That’s a bit of an overstatement. You’ll run across bad information and even intentional untruths in blogs but, for the most part, bloggers who state facts are stating what they honestly believe to be fact. It is always up to the reader to verify that any information they receive is accurate information. Blogging Success Means Becoming the Expert Not the Reporter
Sunday, September 6th, 2009|
Optimize Search Engine Results | How to Optimize Search Engine Results | Optimize Search Engine Results |
There are basically two types of bloggers in the world - reporters and experts - and some people perform both roles (usually the experts, it’s hard for reporters to become experts, but it’s easy for experts to report). Becoming an expert is crucial to make money blogging. If you have ever taken an affiliate marketing course or attended a seminar specifically for beginners, you have probably heard about the two different methodologies. Whenever the business model is based on content, and if you earn an online income then the model is based on content, people are shown to either begin as reporters, or if possible step up as experts. I’ll be frank, you need to set yourself as the expert. Reporters leverage the content of the experts and in most instances bloggers begin off as reporters because they haven’t established expertise. Experts enjoy the perks of preeminence, increased income because of perceived value, it’s easier to get publicity, people are more likely to search you out rather than you having to seek others out, joint ventures come easier, etc. experts in most cases simply earn more money and attract more attention. Many Bloggers Simply Report The thing with expertise is that it requires something - experience. No person becomes an expert without doing things and learning. Aspiring bloggers usually begin with little expertise and as a result begin their blogging journey by writing about everything going on in their niche (reporting) and by interviewing and speaking with other experts (reporting again). There’s nothing wrong with reporting of course and for many bloggers it’s a necessity in the beginning until you build some expertise. Unfortunately the ratios are skewed when it pertains to reporters and experts - there are a lot more reporters than experts, hence reporters tend to struggle to gain publicity and when they do, they often just help the reputation of the expert they are reporting about. Don’t Replicate Your Teacher If you have ever spent some time browsing products in the learn Make Money Online niche you will notice a pattern. Many people first study affiliate marketing from a guru (for lack of a better term). The expert teaches how he or she is able to make money online, and very often the view that the student gleams is that in order to mmake money blogging you have to teach others how to make money online. The end result of this process is a huge army of amateur writers attempting to duplicate what their mentor does in the same industry - the affiliate marketing niche - not realizing that without expert status based on proven record and all the benefits that come with it, it’s next to an uphill battle to succeed. Even people, who enjoy marginal success, say for example growing an contact list of 1,000 people, then go out and release a product about how to build an contact list of 1,000 people. Now I have no issues with this idea, I think it’s fine to teach novices and leverage whatever achievements you have, the difficulty is that aspiring bloggers gravitate to the same industry - affiliate marketing - and rarely differentiate themselves. How many bloggers out there do you know of that all say they teach the same things - email marketing, SEO, pay per click, Internet marketing, and all the sub-niches that fall under the heading of Internet marketing. It’s a competitive industry, yet when you see your mentors and other mentors making money teaching others how to work from home (and let’s face it - making money from home as a subject is one of the most compelling) - your first inclination is to follow in their footsteps. If the goal is to identify yourself as an expert and you have not spent the past 5-10 years making money online, I suggest you look for another subject to establish expertise in. Give it time and focus on what you do to learn and then translate that knowledge into training for others, and remember, it’s okay to be a big fish in a small pond, that’s all most experts really are. Want to stop being a reporter?? Build your reputaton as an expert by earning money through article marketing at Bruce’s Making Money Online Resources Blog. |

Hoping that the truth behind your articles will entice your reader to either remain a loyal reader or buy your product. If you have a PC and an internet connection(who does not ?)then you may blog and advertise. If your e-mail is on a completely different subject, use your e-mail signature to give a link to the site. Let them explore your site by utilizing a short e-mail message as teaser to your blog site. Reading blogs regarding original-hand product use is like talking to individuals regarding their original-hand experience. 4. Here are 10 powerful blogging tips you must take into your action and marketing plan seriously. Follow them and you’ll be on your way to building a highly successful and profitable blog online and earn money on the internet. Step 1 - Finding an Informative Niche of Interest Think of a niche or topic you are passionate about. This helps because you will be more committed to trying instead of giving up in a day or two. Make sure it is something other people are interested in too. To come up with your targeted keywords, you can use MetaSpy to find out what people are searching for by using MetaSpy, Ask IQ to find what’s popular and VRE Toolbar to find out how many people search for the topic. Step 2 - Create Your Blog Different blogging platforms offer different levels of service. Some like Blogger.com and WordPress.com offer both the platform, domain name and hosting for free. Others like Wordpress.org (note this is different to WordPress.com) offer the platform for free but you then need to find and pay for your own hosting and domain name. Others still, like MovableType charge for a license for the platform (depending how many blogs you have and whether they will have a commercial, personal, educational or not-for-profit use - they do also have a free version) and then you need to arrange and pay for your own domain name and hosting. You need to include the keywords in Step 1 in the content of your blog. Try not to overuse these as it sends out bad signals to the search engines, and this is 100% not what you want. Step 3 - Go Google Signing up for Google Adsense will probably not make you a millionaire but it is an instant way of generating a small amount of money just by inserting the adsense code in the margin of your blog. When an ad is clicked on, Google will pay the publisher about half of what the Adwords advertiser is paying to run the ad. Google gets the other half. If you want to track where your visitors are coming from with regards to direct hits or from search engine results then I would suggest you use Google Analytics and again you can get all the help you need setting that up from within the program. You may also want to submit your URL to Google’s index. Step 4 - Find Something to Sell If you don’t want to sell anything and are happy with the income Google Adsense is bringing in then you can skip this step. If you want to maximize your income and truly learn How to Make Money with Blogs you will want to find an affiliate program to join. A couple of affiliate programs I would suggest are ClickBank and Commission Junction. You can sell anything from office furniture, pet supplies, movies and clothing to PC games, Dieting tips and Audio software. Whatever program you join will give you help inserting the code you will need to insert into your blog, but be sure you do this correctly or you WILL NOT earn money from your visitors. If you do not know how to edit HTML, W3Schools HTML tutorial is a great place to start. Step 5 - Social Bookmarking There is no better advertising than word of mouth, but the next best thing is social bookmarking. You will want to make things easier for people to do this. Social bookmarking sites I use and recommend are OnlyWire and SocialMarker and they are used for people to share their bookmarks or websites that they have liked with other people in their online community. I would not suggest you add your own links to these services, but provide visitors to your website the ability to do so. Step 6 - Write an Article I would suggest you to write an article or a review if our blog is about a specific product. Most article directories require articles of 500 words and over so I would use this as a rule when writing to ensure your article is published. Submit your article to any of the 100’s which are out there. I personally use a few of the Top Article directories such as EzineArticles, Article Dashboard, Amazines.com, isnare and SearchWarp. I also use a nifty piece of software called Article Submitter which will submit your articles to over 600 article directories, which saves you lots of time and leaves you to focus on writing your blogs. Blog online marketing is only as hard as you make it. Use these powerful tips and get your blog out there and seen today! About the Author:
