With the multitude of advanced cell phones available one might have a hard time trying to find a simpler phone. There are so many phones that can practically do anything the hearts desire, but not everyone wants a phone with all the bells and whistles. Such phones are very expensive and some people would rather pay less for a more streamlined cellular device. One such cell phone company to release such a phone is Sprint. The new LG LX 290 from Sprint is a testament to affordable bare bone cell phones with a list of minimal but useful applications. The LG LX290 is a slide phone that is expertly designed. The slide function feels very sturdy and even gives a pleasing click noise each time the phone is slid open or closed. The phone is relatively small and is comfortable to hold. It also fits neatly into ones pocket. The phone has a small screen but the display is rather nice. Colors, images, and content will appear vibrant and detailed. When the slide compartment is slid up the user will have access to the alphanumeric keypad and four shortcut buttons. The buttons are very useful because they automatically take you to the four most used functions of any cell phone text messaging, e-mail, calendar, and the alarm clock menu. The features found on the LX290 aren’t things that cant be found on other more expensive phones. But what makes this phone unique is that it incorporates many functions that people wouldn’t expect on such an affordable phone. For starters the phone has a GPS tracking system with turn by turn directions. Secondly the LX290 features a simple yet functional web browser. Also featured is a USB port for easy filing sharing. The phone is also Bluetooth enabled for headsets and speakers. One of the best features on this phone is the multitude of messaging syncing functions. It allows you to sign on to AIM, AOL, and Yahoo Messenger for instant messages, and Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, and AOL for e-mail. At its core the LG290 is a camera phone but the actually camera quality is disappointing. The phone features a 1.3 megapixel camera. The photo quality is average but pictures will look rather grainy and blurry. There are three different resolutions, four color tones, five white balance presets, and three quality settings, which help the user, take the best looking photos possible. Obviously this phone does not have any video recording capabilities. Luckily the phone has great call quality. During phone calls there was no interference from static or any kind of ambient noise. The callers sounded very clear and natural. The phones microphone does a good job at isolating ones voice so users will sound equally clear to callers. The speaker phone works just as well, it produces a crisp sounding voice on both ends. This phone is specifically geared towards individuals who aren’t interested in having a phone that can do anything and everything. The LG LX290 however is a simple phone with incredibly useful applications which anyone looking for a less packed phone will surely enjoy. About the Author:

In a world of increasingly popular smartphones people who cant afford a top of the line phone might have trouble finding a suitable cellular device. Many consumers just need a phone for simple messaging and phone call usage. The LG Neon is such a phone. It is a bare bones cell phone with a neat touch screen and a camera that actually takes decent looking pictures. The LG Neon is a very nice looking cell phone. The phone doesnt have any harsh lines. The phone is smooth with rounded edges. The LG Neon is very small and doesnt weigh much, but it still feels good when held in ones hand. The sliding mechanism works well and doesnt feel shaky at all. Despite the small screen images and text will appear great on it. There are also many different options for customizing the font and appearance of the commands on the phone. The LG Neon does feature a touch screen, but strangely enough it only works for dialing numbers. To activate the touch screen dialer you must first hit a button on the navigator array. Then the buttons are displayed on the screen. The touch screen works well but being able to use it for other reasons is surely missed. Inside the slide compartment is a full QWERTY keyboard. The keys are spaced apart very generously and each button is raised above the surface. Typing on this keyboard is very easy and isnt uncomfortable. There are a number of instant messaging and e-mail linking options, such as AOL, AIM, Windows Live Messenger, and Yahoo Messenger. Unfortunately Gmail is not supported by the phone because the LG Neon doesnt support POP or IMAP. The camera found on the Neon works quite well and takes good looking photos. Three quality settings, five white balance presets, five color effects, a 4x zoom, and a self timer are just some of the image and photo options available on the phone. The phone does not come with a flash so avoid taking pictures in dark areas. The phone can surprisingly record video. The video quality can be grainy at times but it works OK enough. Users recording video onto Micro SD cards will be able to record longer videos. The phone lacks any 3G or Wi-Fi support meaning downloading songs and content will take quite a while. It was so slow it took 12 minutes to download a 1MB song. The web browsing also suffers it can be very slow as well; websites take quite a while to load. The LG Neons call quality was very crisp and clear. Callers will enjoy static and interference free calls. The microphone is obviously top notch. On the other hand the speakerphone function didnt fare as well. Even though there are many volume options the caller will always sound low and distant. Music played on the Neon will also sound low. If you are looking for an affordable phone with a small list of great features then the LG Neon is the perfect phone for you. It is a nice looking phone with a simple array of great features. Many watch companies are always releasing new and improved models of their various time pieces. Many of the advancements are not very note worthy. That is true except for the Timex Ironman Solar Shock. This watch not only has numerous advancements it also is very stylish as well. It is a great addition to the Timex line of watches. Firstly the watch has an amazing display. The screen is so vibrant it can be viewed and read from any angle. Also all the information is displayed on the screen so one wont have to push any buttons to access the date. Solar power is an absolute necessity in a quartz watch, as no one wants to trouble over battery changes. The Ironman solar power system also puts the watch to sleep when it is not in use or facing a light source to conserve power. Pressing any button or returning the watch to the light will wake it. To synchronize and adjust the time the Ironman Solar Shock features a manual winding system. The winding mechanism is quite simple to use. The ability to use atomic time calibration and synch up to the world time from the transmission stations is absent from the watch. The Timex Ironman is the culmination of over 20 years of engineering refinements. The case and resin strap are molded in a unibody construction and carry a fixed shape that sits perfectly on your wrist, sized to fit with a tang buckle and a single holder. The keeper that holds the leftover strap against your wrist has a small plastic tab on the underside that keeps it in place. Leftover strap that dangles free has long been an annoyance. Timex responded to this small nuisance and devised a remedy. This type of attention to detail exemplifies a level of polish seldom seen on an entry level watch. Timex wisely retains its classic Indiglo glow in the dark feature; one that was arguably instrumental in its popularity among kids in the 90s. It is the winning combination of a critical understanding of how watches are worn, with a highly competitive price point and a strong feature set that differentiates this time piece from other cheap digital watches. The Timex Ironman Solar Shock is a classic example of why Timex is still around and why their watches are worn on millions of wrists worldwide. Anyone looking for watch cant go wrong with purchasing the Ironman Solar Shock or any watch from Timex. The watches are affordable and make a great accessory to any ensemble. About the Author:

Its a tricky proposition to try and improve on a classic, but the Timex Ironman Solar Shock is a worthy successor to the classic Triathlon. Its easy to use, eye catching, and unbelievably affordable. Firstly the watch has an amazing display. The screen is so vibrant it can be viewed and read from any angle. Also all the information is displayed on the screen so one wont have to push any buttons to access the date. The Ironman Solar Shock utilizes solar energy. This means the user wearing this watch will never have to worry about changing batteries ever again. To conserve power the watch automatically goes into sleep mode after a few seconds. To illuminate the screen again all you would have to do is face the screen into the light or push any of the buttons on the watch. To synchronize and adjust the time the Ironman Solar Shock features a manual winding system. The winding mechanism is quite simple to use. The ability to use atomic time calibration and synch up to the world time from the transmission stations is absent from the watch. The Timex Ironman watch is the combined efforts of countless watch engineers. They devoted over two decades of work developing the technology that went into this watch. The strap and case are modeled in a curve that fits every and any wrist shape, making this watch very comfortable to wear. Another sign of the expert craftsmanship that went into the Ironman watch is the small plastic tab found on the strap. This tab keeps the leftover strap tucked neatly against your wrist. The dangling strap is a constant nuisance in many watches. Timex has always been the trend setters. Their infamous glow in the dark Indiglo watches were very popular in the 1990s among kids all over the world. Timex watches have always represented the times and are always in high demand by the general public. The amazing features, up to date designs, and affordable price is what separates Timex watches from all of its competitors. It is no wonder that Timex has passed the test of time. If you are on the hunt for a cheap watch that can handle the day to day stress of the average wrist, look no further. Timex has designed this watch beautifully to accomplish its main goal: to be worn on a wrist. About the Author:

There are many phones available in the market right now. With such a plethora of choices one might have a hard time deciding what phone is right for them. One such company offering a wide array of choices is Blackberry. Each Blackberry has a numerous amounts of unique functions. This might make choosing a Blackberry phone hard. But the RIM Blackberry Curve 8300 is a great phone for anyone working in a business setting. The phone is absent of any media streaming capabilities. While this may deter some casual phone users, the phones clear focus on business applications make it great for anyone working for a large organization. As found on most Blackberry Curves this one features a full QWERTY keyboard. The design of this keypad has been upgraded from previous models. The 8300 offers keys that are spaced farther apart allowing for more comfortable typing. A useful feature found on the phone is an automatic spell check. The spell check function alerts you of any spelling errors in emails, messages, memos, etc. Anyone sending out important business information will find this feature very useful. The trackball found on the phone is also improved allowing for better web surfing and navigation. The Blackberry Curve 8300 is also able to link up to any Blackberry Enterprise Server. Many large organizations have this installed on their network and anyone with the 8300 can receive corporate email. Additionally anyone one who is using the enterprise server has access to Microsoft Office. This amazing little feature allows you to view word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and even Power Point presentations on your phone. As mentioned earlier the phone does not support any media streaming. You will not be able to watch or listen to music off the internet. This is a big let down when compared to the amazing service V Cast has to offer. While you are still able to insert your own audio and video files into the phones 64MB flash card, it would have been nice to include the option for streaming media. The web browsing also suffers from this lack of 3G support, with load times of certain websites almost at a standstill. The camera on the phone is sufficient. For any business person using the phone the camera might feel tacked on but it does offer a small variety of image capturing options as most camera phones do. The phone also lacks any video recording capabilities which again if you are using this phone in a corporate setting then the feature will not be missed. The Blackberry Curve 8300 is a great phone for business people. With a strong focus on operating systems and business applications this phone will be extremely useful to anyone working for a large organization. About the Author:
