It’s happened again. You showed up for the breakfast meeting at the office that you were just sure was well publicized. After all, you had signs up for weeks in advance. However, only a few people staggered in, so you’re starting to think that you really need to do something about the office signs. You know that they won’t be effective unless your colleagues actually read them, so how do you make that happen? First of all, you need to eliminate all the clutter. If you’ve got a lot of things in the vicinity of the sign it will be harder to notice a particular sign. And that can be very detrimental if you are posting something with some critical information. So if you find a lot of other posts around the sign, clear out the outdated or duplicate posts. Just like anything else in business, location is key. You need to place your office signs in areas that receive a lot of traffic and will be seen by a lot of people. For example, you could put something above the doorknob in the break room. Everyone is going to go into that room at some point or another, and they will easily spot the sign. You should also consider the material of the office signs. If you color and material is the same as everything else around it, most people won’t notice it. And if you’re trying to let people know about an important event, you want to have a noticeable sign. To do this, you can simply use a different color or a larger font than everything else. One other rule about putting up a sign is to make it easy to read. You can also add some interesting graphics or funny cartoons to highlight certain information. Sometimes a little levity will attract a lot of attention, which means that more people will be taking the time to look at the sign. Most offices have signs that won’t ever have to move. These include daily reminders and items of etiquette. However, once they’ve been there for a while, people will pay less and less attention to them. If you change these signs on occasion you can keep them fresh. Even if they are delivering the same message, a new look can attract new attention. Of course, the more important your message, the more of these techniques you will want to employ. For a particularly important meeting, for example, make your office signs large, use a cartoon or graphic, and an interesting font. Also, make sure they are posted in places where your staff will notice them. By paying attention to just a few things, you can make sure that your signs are having the impact you need and never be stuck in an empty meeting room again. There are a LOT of companies out there who are selling Forex products and who do a lot of advertising. What you need to do then is build a property that attracts a lot of people interested in Forex. On the internet you do this by providing quality content about Forex. It could be training videos, articles, audios etc. But whatever it is you need to make sure you attract enough traffic to make it worth while for advertiser to want to promote their products on your site. The more quality content you create the more you’ll be able to make from advertising. Then once you’ve reached your desired income level you can stop and the money will keep coming in. Kontera and Adsense are other options you can use to cut back even more on the time it takes to run your business. These two programs are what we call Advertiser networks. Sorry, internet marketers, but your industry is a freaking joke. You mined us suckers really well for a long time, but it’s time to stop. And no, I’m not an internet marketer myself. I have nothing to gain by writing this, except that I’m sick of getting ripped off. Here’s my reasoning: First, building a web site is easy. You can go to a hosting provider and have them set up Wordpress for you. 10 minutes later, for $50 or so, you can have a great design installed and you’re off and running. Don’t even want to do that much? Fine. Go on Elance and hire someone for $200 to set the site up. And NO ONE can write content for your company like you can. You understand your business and industry and have lots of good ideas. So write some cool stuff every day, put it up on your new site and you’re good to go. Or hire someone for $20 an article. Third, what really matters is traffic. Somehow you’ve got to get people to your site. Search engines do most of that. And no one outside of Google, Yahoo! and Microsoft knows the best way to beat the search engines. So why hire someone else? Even if you do hire an expert, and even if they do know what they’re doing, you’re up against competitors who’ve put years into their own sites. You’re not going to beat them in any decent amount of time. Even worse, it’s pretty much impossible to tell the real experts from the ripoff artists. You don’t know a thing about internet marketing at this point, right? So how are you going to judge who to hire? 90% of internet marketing ’specialists’ are utterly incompetent. At best you have a 10% chance of getting someone decent. And even if you do find someone who’s legit, it’ll cost you thousands of dollars, if not tens of thousands, to get their services. Let’s say they’re 3x better than you at marketing your business online. If you do it yourself, it might cost you 10x less. It just doesn’t compute. Seventh, it changes so fast that the ‘experts’ can’t stay experts for more than a week. Google alone has made so many changes to the way they rank sites that SEO professionals say rankings no longer matter. What? Then why the heck should I pay you? To make money online many people jump right in before they are properly prepared. You know that to be a rocket scientist, a doctor, a brick layer, a construction worker, an office worker, a teacher there are prerequisites, things you must learn, before you can be successful, you don’t just jump right in unprepared. Of course there is no end to the people out there that will have you thinking you can just turn on your computer and press a few buttons and in no time flat your computer is spitting out money like a slot machine. Now I don’t want you to think that’s it’s the hardest thing in the world either. In fact, it is a walk in the park compared to going to a job every day and punching a clock, and waiting for your little fifteen minute break. But still, there’s a blueprint that must be followed if you’re going to see success. Most people will not make a dime online and yet there are others who will make more in one month than most people make in a whole year. Why is that? It’s like the old question, “which comes first, the chicken or the egg?” Who knows for sure. The one thing, for absolute certainty, you must possess is a burning passion for what it is you’re doing. You must get excited and enthusiastic and decide to stay that way. The thing about passion is there has to be a receiving subject. Meaning you can’t just up and say “I’m gonna be passionate today” About what? “Well, I don’t know for sure” It’s passion for something great, something that will bring tremendous results for you and many others. Oh sure, there are a few dudes out there that just seem to be able to sell anything, and never need to bother with something like needing passion. But the thing is, ninety nine point nine percent of the people out there simply must have this key ingredient to live the life of their dreams. Now, I’m not trying to make anyone believe that Passion is the only thing necessary. Because to be successful you must also have a good website, good marketing, widespread advertising, company support, effective keywords, and etc. Those things are often learned from the company you join - but sidestep Passion and you reduce your chances for success dramatically. It therefore follows that, if you have no Passion for the company and the products and services provided by that company, again, you won’t attempt to do the work you are being taught. Making money online really isn’t all that difficult or time consuming. In fact, it’s quite a lot of fun most of the time. But then there are those times when you’ve got to dig down deep and dip into that reservoir of passion to pull you through when things don’t go the way you planned. You have a great resource in the Internet search engines to search about the Internet Marketing industry for business opportunities, USE IT! Your research should uncover a company that you like and have confidence in. It should be solid, founded on great principles, and easy to understand with great products and services that are sell-able for which you can have Passion. If you don’t find it move on, You can find the right opportunity containing the attributes identified above. And just because the latest internet guru is doing it, doesn’t mean it will be all roses for you. Remember they can sometimes just about sell anything and not have passion. Dig down deep and make sure it’s a product you can believe strongly in. A key thing to remember when selling online is to get to the point as quickly as possible, because the attention span isn’t nearly as long. And just to reiterate a very important point, if you don’t find a product you can be passionate about, all the other steps can bring just frustration and confusion Not being Passionate about a company and products and services that has market proof that it will sell is a pitfall you simply must avoid.
