Get Superior Web Site Traffic With PPC Campaign Management

Wednesday, September 8th, 2010

Optimize Search Engine Results | How to Optimize Search Engine Results | Optimize Search Engine Results

PPC campaign management is necessary to maximize return on marketing cost for Google AdWords and other PPC ads. PPC advertising directly determines web site traffic and your ability to convert leads. It is, thus, one of the most important items in your marketing budget. But it must be managed.

PPC campaigns based on keywords and keyword phrases must be actively managed. Setting up a PPC campaign involves designing a strategy, setting goals and a budget and bidding on keywords, creating landing pages, creating the ad copy, keyword research and selection, location targeting, and analysis.

Once campaign has been set up and launched, the detailed job of PPC campaign management begins. This includes: monitoring click-through activity, measuring achievement of goals, scoring leads and managing the scores, daily tracking, weekly or monthly reporting, daily or weekly updates, refining ad copy, managing costs, creating new ads, ongoing keyword research.

It is in PPC campaign management that your ad campaigns are evaluated, upgraded, improved, modified for better performance, shifted to attract a different market segment, and carefully analyzed against your competitors.

The risk in PPC advertising is that if you place ads in the wrong places or you win bids on the wrong keywords (or phrases), you could be spending a lot of money to get the wrong people to your site.

For example, if you are an attorney and you specialize in medical malpractice, advertising “Experts in International Business Law” probably will not draw the right people. Even if it should cost less (which is not likely), the traffic it would generate would leave your site as quickly as they arrive. With bad, or no, PPC campaign management you end up throwing money down a hole.

If, on the other hand, you win bids on “small business tax preparation” or “small biz tax planning”, you would be more likely to get the kind of traffic you want. This is high quality traffic. High quality traffic is made up of people who are highly likely to be interested in your products or services and to become sales leads when they arrive on your site.

PPC campaign management works to analyze daily changes in your competition, competitor marketing, changes in keyword selection for searches. PPC campaign management also tests and analyzes ads and responses, then edits and tests and analyzes again to find the right ad for each keyword in each market.

PPC campaign management also analyzes every part of what happens when someone clicks through to your website. Which landing page is most effective? Which part of the page generates the best rate of response? Do visitors follow the planned conversion route or do they drop out at some point?

Good PPC campaign management monitors prospect activity, keyword usage, customer needs, competitor activity, pricing and ad effectiveness to market your website. It then aligns all web site pages to efficiently convert leads to sales.

Because it is both time and labor intensive and because of the market research required, the task of PPC campaign management is frequently outsourced to campaign management companies who have the experience in bidding, the points of access to key markets and segments, and the experience in modifying ads and landing pages to achieve maximum success.

Useful Internet Marketing Tips And Know-How

If a website owners wants to attract a large number of visitors to their website, then they must be aware of several internet marketing techniques and tips which are available. In general, the techniques are the same whether someone has something to sell, or whether they want to start a community based website. By using these tips, it is possible to market your product or website to many people.

The advances of websites such as Digg and Twitter mean that people can now tell each other about a new product immediately. They can reach thousands of people and can spread the news for you.

Having said that, website owners also have to work hard to make sure that their product really does reach the precise people they want to attract. If you have a market stall selling the latest dance craze bling, then it is no use setting up in a place where only the over 40s come to buy. You will never get a sale! It is the same with the internet. You must choose your message very carefully so that it attracts the right visitors.

But it is not possible to do this just by creating a website and sitting back. Once a website has been made, the owner must still work hard to optimize it and to try to attract as many visitors as possible. The key here, and a good tip, is to think about what sort of person will buy your product. Then, once you have an ideal customer in mind, you must work hard to target that particular demographic. Do you need to get new moms to visit your children’s clothing website? Or are you aiming your music website at a teenage audience?

But this is only the first step. Once you get people to actually visit, you need them to stay around and buy from you, or join in with what you want. A good way to repel your visitors will be with a strange or painful color scheme. You may think that a pink and yellow stripy background is a bomb, but you visitors might not agree.

Once you have your wonderful website up and running, the next most important thing is advertising. You must let people know that it is there so that they can visit. There are a few pay per click advertisers available. There are several of these which are quite well known. A quick internet search reveals the most popular ones. Their advertising programs let users bid for placing on the their search pages.

When you have your site up and running, and you have checked it on various different systems and browsers, then the next thing to do is to advertise its presence to all your potential visitors. A good way to get quick site visitors is to use a pay per click service. These allow you to advertise keywords to your potential customers.

If you pick out a few good keywords which people are likely to search for relating to your website, then you can bid for them as keywords relating to your website. The higher you bid, the more likely it will be that your website will appear in the right hand column in search results. Be specific and do not have something too general. This will mean that your visitors will know exactly what to expect when they visit your site.

When it comes to choosing the best idea for a online business, you need to find the right idea. With our guide to Internet marketing, you will become a successful business on the Internet.

The Internet: A Great Place To Find Voice Over Talent

Optimize Search Engine Results | How to Optimize Search Engine Results | Optimize Search Engine Results

Though there is certainly no shortage of potential voice talent for the hiring, picking through the thousands available to find the voice actor that is perfect for the job can seem like a daunting task. Since the actor or actress you choose will affect the tone and message of your project, it’s essential to make the right selection.

The internet offers many resource and options for putting together your multimedia project. You can locate scripts from a database, or create a script of your own and find just the right tone and theme by reviewing samples of other companies in a few clicks. The web allows you to view artist portfolios and samples with ease; many professionals upload clips of previous projects as samples which saves you time during your hiring process, and can help you narrow down your search. From reviewing resumes to conducting online interviews, the internet is making the voice over talent search much easier and effective.

Though the web can definitely make your search for talent quicker and more efficient, without the appropriate strategy it can turn into a gigantic waste of time. Potential voice actors you find online, for example, may not be as reliable as they first appear, and may delay your progress by failing to submit their samples in a timely manner. These kinds of obstacles can be easily surmounted, however, with a little bit of know-how. Here are some valuable tips on hiring voice talent on the web:

1. When you first contact a voice actor or actress, ask that they send you samples of their work. Any professional voice actor or actress is sure to have some .mpeg files that they can send you, or a website showcasing their work. Actors without any samples can safely be written off as amateurs. This simple screening step will save you a good deal of time and effort.

2. Ask potential hires for a resume. Any serious voice actor or actress should be able to provide a formal resume, complete with his or her employment history and references. Speaking of references, they’re there for a reason; you should make sure to contact two or more of the past employers listed in order to get a balanced assessment of the performance you can expect from a potential hire.

3. Request a preferred rate. Many voice over professionals have an expected rate for each project, and you’ll want to know about both hourly and per-project rates. Some professionals will request payment only after final delivery, while others will require a portion upfront with the remainder due at the end of the project.

4. Interview voice talent over the telephone. If you do not have the opportunity to conduct a face to face interview, a telephone interview is the next best thing, as it will give you a clearer picture of his or her personality, experience, and level of confidence. An interview conducted on the telephone will also give you the opportunity to hear a short sample reading from your potential hire.

5. Ask if they can provide all services digitally. Some professionals have the equipment and skills to record the voice over in their home studio, convert it into a media file for review, and allow you to download it directly from the web. Find out what your options are, and plan accordingly to save on mailing fees, travel expenses, and other costs typically incurred for projects of this scope.

Building Customer Relations Through Simple Marketing Strategies

Optimize Search Engine Results | How to Optimize Search Engine Results | Optimize Search Engine Results

As business owners, we all want to sell more of our products and services to new and existing customers. But before we can achieve this goal, it is imperative to understand a few basic marketing strategies for creating interest, trust and desire.

This article gives three important strategies for understanding your customers and building their trust and confidence.

Strategy #1: Classifying Buyer Personas

The best way to truly understand the wants and needs of your customers is to create your Buyer Personas. A Buyer Persona is a segment of customers or prospects that share similar demographics and interests.

Have you heard of the Soccer Mom or the NASCAR Dad? These are Buyer Personas that were created quite and actually marketed to by both the Republican and Democratic parties.

The key to defining your buyer personas is to look at your customer data and find ways to group common characteristics. Break your customers down into well defined buying categories as best you can. You don’t have to be perfect here, just do the best job with the current data you have.

What type of characteristics can a Buyer Persona contain? Anything that is relevant to your business including gender, business type, age, hobbies, or occupation.

Strategy #2: Define Your Unique Value Proposition

Your UVP, or Unique Value Proposition, will help differentiate your company from the competition. It also helps communicate why a potential customer should do business with you.

You might already have something that makes you stand apart, but if not, then it’s time to discover, define, and create a value proposition from scratch. Be prepared to alter some of your products or services in order to support your vision for standing out.

Take a look at your competitors. What do they excel at? Can you find a way to improve upon what they are offering or to include a compelling guarantee that instantly sets you apart from what everyone else is doing?

Here are some ideas for better understanding your competitors.

1. Purchase an item. I know this might be painful, but it is a great way to better understand how a competitor successfully fulfills an order.

2. Register for their online newsletter. Is the newsletter helpful? Does it provide helpful information or does it simply try to sell?

3. Sign up for catalogs and brochures. By getting on your competitor’s mailing list, you’ll get a better idea of the frequency they mail as well as what types of catalogs, fliers, and offers they are mailing.

Don’t skip this step! Taking the time to define your UVP is a critical component of attracting new prospects to your business.

Strategy #3: The Marketing Folder

When someone contacts you for information, what do you give them?

You should be giving them a 2-pocket communications folder that further educates them and gives compelling reasons why they should further engage your products and services.

Here’s what I recommend you include in your folder.

1. Your Story: What’s your compelling story? Every business has one. Write a page about your passions and why you started your business. Be honest and try to craft an emotional story. This can go a long way in building empathy and trust.

2. Your Company Advantage Why should anyone do business with you? Write up a few paragraphs to convince new prospects why they need to work with you or purchase your products. You must convince them of your ability to solve their unique problems.

3. Solving Customer Problems: This insert should explain how you have solved past customer problems. Try and summarize 3-4 different customer issues.

4. The Product Summary Page: On this page, list out the many benefits of your products and/or services. Bullet point the benefits so that it is easy for prospects to skim.

5. The Testimonial Page: This is the page that summarizes your best customer testimonials. A testimonial is proof that you have a track record of delivering what you promise. Make sure each testimonial focuses on the specific result that was achieved to help the customer with their problem.

Go ahead and add additional items to your folder - just make sure they are relevant to your audience.

Taken together, these three basic marketing strategies will help you create the trust and desire necessary to convert your prospects into paying customers!

Never Ever Sacrifice The Quality Of Your Articles Just To Use Or Stuff In Keywords

Optimize Search Engine Results | How to Optimize Search Engine Results | Optimize Search Engine Results

Dear Friend,

These days, anything from, information on various subjects to, everyday necessities and novelty materials can be found just with one single click on an internet website. It’s no surprise that people prefer to surf the WWW rather than visiting a library or a shopping complex to look for or buy what they want. More and more people are using search engines like google to help them go directly to a website that contains what they need.

The search engines have changed internet marketing strategies. Web owners do everything possible to help them get a higher ranking when it comes to using search engines. There are various tools to help the website owner rank higher, even though they may not have any of relevance to offer the visitor.

However, this cheating method to drive traffic to the site, soon begin to plummet. So, this made it important to find another way to drive traffic, thus the use of keywords. Keywords have become very important in this technological age. Website owner ask, what method will their customer use to find the? How many search strings will relate to the keyword? When search strings match your keywords, it can make your website rank much higher. This has created a lot of work for SEO specialists and offers a lot of opportunities for writers as well.

The initial result that comes out of a search engine is usually the website that contains similar keyword number in the exact same arrangement as the search. Let assume that, if I used “DIY Wi-Fi antenna” for my search string, the search spider will look for the exact words and placement of word. Now, if I type the word “ask” and perform my search using google, the common result will be ask.com. Notice the manner in which the search engine immediately went for the website with the domain name (ask.com) matched my query. On the other hand, if I type “asked”, google still comes out with the ask.com webpage as the top search result. It’s all about relevance.

To be able to use your website’s potential and list it as a top result item while searching online, you need to orient your website towards what you want to promote. If you cannot have the .com name, you can rely on optimization of keyword to help you with your search engine rankings.

You do not need to hire anyone to help you deciding how many keywords to use. You can do this yourself when you spend some time doing your research. There are many ways to help you find the appropriate keywords you should use

Keywords will not be of any use to you if you keep them generic. Most customers log onto the internet with a clear idea on what they need or want. Remember, these shoppers can’t hold or examine the merchandise so they want to find out about them fist hand before they actually buy. When they do decide to buy, they have an idea about it. They will use this idea as their search string in search engines. Ergo, if you have multiple products, you need to be able to generate a fair amount of literature containing relevant keywords for each of your merchandise. If you choose to limit your business to a certain area, be sure to include the name of your chosen location into your keyword base.

You also need to focus on the literature or articles you create for your online business. Make sure that they contain the necessary keyword count. Never ever sacrifice the quality of your articles just to use or stuff in keywords. Always present a detailed, literate and informative article.

Tips for Recording Quality Voiceovers

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009

Optimize Search Engine Results | How to Optimize Search Engine Results | Optimize Search Engine Results

Creating a professional voice over project on your own can be achieved using computer programs and tools. This will allow you to save on the cost of hiring a videographer or a production team. You just need to hire talents and have a script and you are all set to record.

Preparation is vital to produce a professional quality voiceover piece. In particular, you initially need to setup the room in which you’ll record in. Here are some useful tips to do just that.

1.Try your equipments. It is stated in the book “Producing Great Sound for Digital Video”, written by Jay Rose, that a lot of problems during production can be avoided by getting the correct equipments and testing them ahead of schedule. Equipments failing on production day will cost you time and money. Check your equipment on the day itself, before you record anything to ensure a smooth recording session.

2. Test a room for echoes. You can find out if a room creates an echo effect by doing some test records in it. Close all doors, windows and check all your equipments to eliminate or at least minimize echoes.

3. Consider using background music. In a professional voiceover, there should not be any noise between the narrator and the listener. You want to create an audio space that sounds as if the narrator is having a face-to-face conversation with the audience. If you have a lot of ‘white noise’, consider adding background music.

4. Look for the perfect spot to record in the room. There are no concrete guidelines when it comes to finding the best position for your mic and other equipments. This can only be done through trial and error by adjusting the position of your microphone. Find the best spot but just make sure your recordings don’t sound unnatural in anyway.

5. Don’t worry about outside traffic or small rumbles. Even simple things like fluorescent lighting or distant traffic outside the window can effect the sound quality of your voiceover recording. However, most mics do not pick up these sounds. If you do feel like the script is being affected by these outside sounds, consider adding a high-pass filter to the microphone for a crisper recording.

6. Switch off fans and blowers. Fans on computers, air-cons and other blower devices can affect the air atmosphere of your recording room as they produce turbulence. This is more evident in a small room than a large one. The solution to this is to switch of these equipment while doing a recording. You can turn them on in between segments.

You should also be able to monitor the recording throughout the production cycle using a pair of headphones. Take advantage of playback functions in a different room to make sure that everything is going smoothly; this will reduce the need to do another ‘take’ and can also help you address any problems with the audio quality right away.

The best way to write the best articles using keywords

Optimize Search Engine Results | How to Optimize Search Engine Results | Optimize Search Engine Results

Dear Friend,

Keywords or phrases are different tools utilized in online marketing in order to obtain the best of rankings among search engines. However, sometimes the web masters tend to misuse this system via saturating the website content with keywords in order to achieve higher ranking. This practice has often resulted in getting unfavorable results from search engine users getting results that had no relation to their query. In order to come over this issue, search engine webmasters have created algorithms to facilitate determination of which website consists of relevant content and which doesnt. Currently, the total focus for utilization of keyword has shifted to articles rich in content having keyword ratio average of about 12% of the entire article.

The primary reason for this whole shift in utilization of keyword is that tracking and recording process of for keyword abuse by search engine sites. For instance, you have an article that contains 500 words and the focus is only on one word such as Porn, there are more chances of your site getting banned from the search engine.

This shift has created almost an industry for writing. You can easily get some jobs related to writing search engine optimized articles.

The best way to write the best articles using this technique is to have good content in your article and the appropriate use of keywords. One way to do this is to target areas to place the keywords. For instance, you should put at least two keywords or phrases when you begin the paragraph and in the last paragraph. If you have a 500 word article, try putting a keyword in each paragraph.

Experts recommend that you must focus on writing article for what you are selling and not just to feed in some keywords. As you proceed with writing the article, include keywords when describing your product and while giving out proper instructions on the manner in which you use the product. Try writing about the story of how the product evolved and developed through the years. You may also give examples of the usage and benefits of the product and how exactly it helped you or an acquaintance.

When writing your article, do make the keywords seem forced. Rather, focus on quality content for the article. If you do not have information the reader wants, they will simply not read it. Another very important thing to remember is make certain you have excellent grammar throughout your article. If you do not, this makes you look like you arent smart enough to know what you are talking about and your readers will find it as a big turn off.

Many people use the services of a freelance writer to do the writing for them. Often times people may not have the time or the desire to write themselves and you can reasonably get a freelancer to write for you. Another reason to consider doing this is the writer will be certain the article is informative and has good grammar. They are doing this as a job and this can make a world of difference when it comes to writing articles.

To your success

Jason

P.S. In order to gain experience, you may want to write a few articles yourself before you hire someone else to do it.
