Profiting From Using Pay-Per-Click Marketing

Optimize Search Engine Results | How to Optimize Search Engine Results | Optimize Search Engine Results

Pay per click marketing is an advertising model used on websites, advertising networks, and search engines where advertisers only pay when an internet surfer clicks on an ad to visit the advertiser’s website. Businesses use pay-per-click, or PPC, advertising to generate sales to their target market from their web site.

Here’s one of the ways PPC works, business design a short ad that links to their website when it’s clicked on. The publisher makes sure the ad pops up when a certain keyword, from a predetermined list made by the advertiser, is input into a search engine. Then the advertiser pays a fee every time someone clicks on the ad after searching for a particular word or phrase. This allows for advertisers to pay for better visibility on a search engine results page regardless of where they naturally rank in search engines when certain keywords are entered. The paid search results are usually shown as the top few ads on the search results page as well as the ads shown down the left side of the page. The goal of PPC is to get the most conversions for the lowest price. There are 2 ways to do this: bid based PPC and flat rate PPC.

In bid-based pay-per-click marketing, the position of the ad is determined by the amount of money and advertiser bids compared to the bids of the competitors who are bidding on the same keywords. The quality of the advertisers website as well as well as the quality of the ad are also determining factors and could mean the difference between having the first position or the third position after placing the highest bid. In the end the advertiser tells the host how much they are willing to pay for an ad spot for certain keywords. Then advertisers pay for each click they receive based on the rate the keyword went for. These rates are the basic rates however, advertisers can pay a higher amount for more visibility.

Flat rate pay-per-click management is where the publisher sets a fixed amount in advance for the advertiser to pay for each click. This type of pay per click system is used mostly by content sites. Flat rate PPC avoids instances where advertisers are continually changing their bids in very little increments to try to win the bid while paying the least amount possible.

PPC marketing can get better results over just placing a banner ad on a website. One of the reasons PPC is more effective is because it tracks visitor behavior, giving the advertiser helpful information about their target demographic. Since the advertiser is paying for each visitor to view their website, it makes sense that they structure their web pages so that they are as user friendly as possible. The more relevant the landing pages are the higher the quality score, and the more targeted the campaign will be, resulting in more conversions, and a lower cost-per-click.

PPC marketing is a great way to get targeted website traffic inexpensively. With all the PPC search engines out there it is important that you make an educated decision when it is time to start your campaign. Search Engine Optimization Marketing Techniques - Increasing Traffic

Optimize Search Engine Results | How to Optimize Search Engine Results | Optimize Search Engine Results

Search engine optimization marketing is a very big scene in the business world nowadays. Everyone is aiming to hop on the bandwagon to ride all the way into being a millionaire. Unfortunately, it’s not nearly as easy as putting a website up and waiting for the money to roll in. There are thousands of websites within any individual niche just waiting to compete against your own site and many of them are likely putting more effort into promoting and optimizing their site. If they’re not goofing around, why should you be?

People start getting into search engine optimization marketing because they feel it will be an easy way to make money. After all, what can possible be stressful and tedious at home on the computer? Quite a bit, actually, especially if you are trying to start up a successful and lucrative marketing campaign.

Internet marketing is very competitive in just about any niche. New websites are being made every single day which creates more and more competition to go head to head with. What can a new internet marketer do to make themselves successful? It’s not impossible, but it does take some very real tough work.

The initial work lies in actually optimizing your website. Optimizing lies in a few key features, though most focus on the keyword aspect of it. Keyword optimization refers to the process of strategically placing the niche keyword within a web page. This includes within the article body, within tags (both meta and otherwise), and page names and titles. This in itself can be a difficult thing to really pull together, as it is all too easy to go overboard with a keyword. Placing the keyword time and time again within a web page can only hurt a site’s rankings and conversion rates, as search engines with penalize a website for having too much of a word and visitors will be less likely to feel the need to click the advertisements.

Aside from the content, the layout also has a bit to do with a website’s optimization. This has more to do with the actual organic part of the process. An attractive site is more likely to pull in traffic and to get them to click advertisements in most cases. Strategic advertisement placement can also result in accidental clicks, which still count towards your overall revenue. Carefully weigh your layout options before deciding on one so that you can get the highest conversion.

Search engine optimization marketing is quite the easy concept, but in actual practice, it is a very long and difficult endeavor. Avoid the mistakes that many others have made throughout times and be sure to really think about the way you place your keywords and your site’s design. These things are overlooked often by new marketers, but they are the biggest part of your rates of conversion and your profits.

MLM Lead Generation Examined: Leverage This Incredibly Simple SEO Truth for Long-Term MLM Success

Saturday, September 12th, 2009

Optimize Search Engine Results | How to Optimize Search Engine Results | Optimize Search Engine Results

Do you ever get a feeling that the minute you master a marketing technique, the internet changes and you have to modify what you do accordingly? Well, that’s definitely the case with Search Engine Optimization (SEO). The methods of increasing your MLM Lead Generation page popularity are always evolving.

Since the dawn of the net though, there have been several methods that were and always will be at the heart of search engine optimization. Keep reading and you will soon learn about one of them, the keyword.

This is where your SEO should start: keywords are an indispensable aspect of your search engine optimization efforts. You must understand the concept of keywords, or else you might as well give up on your SEO MLM lead generation dreams right here.

When you search for something online, you usually use the search box of a search engine where you type in what you are looking for - keywords, speaking SEO language. A keyword can be just one word or can consist of multiple words.

For instance, /MLM/ is a keyword, but /MLM Opportunity/ is also a keyword. When the keyword has more than one word in it, it can also be called a keyword phrase or a keyphrase. One of most important things that you can do with your SEO is target specific keywords. You can do this by including them in your website content.

Why are keywords so important? Well, you want your MLM leads to find you, don’t you? If you want Google visitors to see your site when searching for /the best MLM opportunity of a lifetime/, you’d better be ready with that keyphrase optimization on your pages.

Here is something to remember though: it’s a huge mistake to choose your keywords based solely on your content without knowing how competitive they are. Let me explain what I mean with an example.

If you have a website about work at home business opportunity, it is a bad idea to target the keyword /work at home/. Why? Because it is an incredibly competitive keyword in MLM Home Business industry. A quick search on Google reveals almost 307 million results for that keyword. Do you really think that you will be able to get to the first page of search results? Even the 10th page?

On the other hand, search for /successful work from home business opportunity/ yielded 47M results, which is still very high, but obviously much better than 309M. It will be significantly easier to be in the front of the pack for this keyword. (Tip: ideally you want to stay under 300K search volume, although the number is very subjective. The less, the better, in other words.)

Your objective here is to rank high for less searched keywords, rather than low for more popular ones.

So how do you find which keywords to target?

You can do this in a few ways. You can just search for your keyword in Google to see the amount of competing websites that will come up for it. Volume of competing websites is just a small part of a keyword search, but it’s a start. You could also use different keyword tools to aid you in your search. I made a post in “Resources” section of my Attraction Marketing Cafe blog with some great keyword tools that will do a lot of work for you (look for the link below).

Try different things and eventually you’ll find keywords that work great for your MLM lead generation strategies.

The income in MLM Home Business industry is never in the company, product, or comp plan. It is in your ability to move (market) that product or company. How are you going to do that? Why SEO Marketing Could Make a Huge Difference to Your MLM Home Business Success?

Optimize Search Engine Results | How to Optimize Search Engine Results | Optimize Search Engine Results

SEO is a very common and important internet term and stands for ‘Search Engine Optimization’. MLM home business owners and webmasters alike need to have a firm grasp on just what this term means and they can expect some great MLM lead generation in return.

SEO sounds like a very complex concept to master. However, there are some easy and simple SEO steps you can implement today to start seeing real growth in your MLM home business opportunity.

Optimizing your websites in a way that makes them more attractive to search engines is a great way to exponentially increase your MLM lead generation. Your basic strategy here is to have your business sites rank as high as possible on Google and other search engines, thus bringing great quality MLM leads to your websites. Mind you that the traffic we are talking about here is absolutely free.

Let’s go with an example here. If you want your website to be on the first page of a search engine for internet searchers looking for information on your specific MLM company, then you need to optimize your website for that particular keyword or phrase. In other words, you need to let the search engines know that when somebody types in the keyword phrase ‘Your Company MLM Home Business’, your website is relevant to that phrase and needs to be displayed in the search.

Now that you heard me say how important your choice of keywords is, you might be wondering what exactly I mean by that.

When you look for information on the web, you use ‘KEYWORDS’ or ‘KEYWORD PHRASES’ to find it. Basically, these are exact words or phrases you type into you search engine box.

As you can see, a keyword does not have to be a single word, but it can be a whole phrase, which can also be called a keyword phrase or keyphrase. That means that your keyword can even be the name of your MLM home business. The more often a specific keyword appears on your website, the more likely your website will be shown as a result when someone searches for that keyword.

The next important concept that you need to really understand to succeed in the MLM home business industry is called the backlink.

Simply put, a ‘BACKLINK’ is a link on somebody’s website pointing back to yours. Search engines use backlinks to measure how popular and useful your MLM home business website really is. The assumption here is that the better website content you offer, the more website owners would want to link to it.

For example, Wikipedia website ranks very high on many topics because many sites quote it as a source in their content. Your goal is to become “Wikipedia” website in your field and get an many websites to link to yours as you can thus causing it to rank higher for your keywords and helping your MLM lead generation tremendously.

Another important concept to know to get your MLM home business website out there is called the reciprocal link.

A RECIPROCAL LINK is like a backlink, except that a backlink is just one website linking to another, while a reciprocal link is two websites linking to each other. Sharing reciprocal links is a very common practice among MLM home business owners. It is very easy to ask the webmaster of a site similar to yours if they would like to exchange links. Reciprocal links are important in SEO, but they don’t hold as much water as backlinks because search engines understand how easy they are to gain.

Now you are aware of the basic SEO concepts and have enough knowledge to start optimizing your MLM home business site. Are you an expert in SEO now? Far from it, of course. However, if you are serious about your MLM lead generation and overall business success, learning more about SEO is a must and will definitely pay off handsomely!

Pay Per Click Marketing: What can Go Wrong

Monday, July 13th, 2009

Optimize Search Engine Results | How to Optimize Search Engine Results | Optimize Search Engine Results

Pay per click has become popular online as an advertising tool and one reason for this is that, in pay per click, you only have to pay for what you get. As the name suggests, you only have to pay for advertising if an interested customer clicks on your ad and visits your site.

Pay per click may have its inviting features and effective ways of increasing your profits online but of course, like any other business ventures, there are also drawbacks in pay per click advertising. Some businesses may have encountered some difficulties and pitfalls in implementing pay per click and it is wise to learn from it to avoid falling on them too. These are also reasons why you need to implement this strategy carefully.

Pay per click may be friendly to businesses because you only have to pay for every click of your ad. However, this advertising technique can be costly if you get caught in bidding for the wrong keywords. Other search engines also have this ‘auto bid’ setting which automatically increases your bid to maintain your ranking which can be disastrous to your budget.

Another risk in pay per click marketing is that, there may be clicks to your ad that do not mean anything to your business. This case, it would mean paying for a click that does not have any value for you.

In pay per click, the returns on investment could also be a little difficult to measure as the profit you can get from every dollar you invest is quite a little difficult to determine. However there are online tools as well to help you with tracking on the conversions of these clicks into sales.

The cost of advertising in pay per click is definitely cheaper than the usual advertising and you pay only for what you get, but be careful and always keep in mind that as soon as you get huge traffic to your site, your total advertising cost will also increase.

Although this approach is generally successful, it pays to be cautious and careful in its implementation to avoid these common pitfalls.

How Pay Per Click Marketing is Done

Thursday, July 9th, 2009

Optimize Search Engine Results | How to Optimize Search Engine Results | Optimize Search Engine Results

Online advertising has now become an important instrument for businesses to increase their sales, and grow their businesses. Especially for small businesses that may have limited advertising budget, online advertising has become a convenient and reliable option in promoting their business.

The internet does not only offer one but it actually has many options in promoting business online. These include blogging, affiliate marketing, search engine optimization and pay per click marketing which has become a popular in the online world.

Pay per click marketing is not quite similar to the usual ways of advertising a business because in pay per click, you will not pay a fix amount of advertising cost but you will only pay when interested users online click on your ad. In this way, you will only have to pay for what you get.

For instance, if you have an online flower shop you want to advertise using pay per click, you will find websites that are related to flower shops, like websites about weddings and many others. You can then have an agreement with the website owner to post your ad and how much is the rate for a click to your ad. In this case of pay per click, there is no standard rates. It is usually dependent on what you and the website agreed upon.

When online users type a keyword related to online gift shop, perhaps an online user will search for ‘wedding gifts,’ those websites where the business owner has posted his ad will appear on the list. When online surfers click on these websites and get interested in the ad or banner of that online gift shop, they will then be redirected to the online gift shop’s website. This is the time the owner of that online gift shop will pay the owner of the website the agreed amount for that click.

Pay per click actually aims to bring potential customers to your site. The target of pay per click is making your site visible to those who are actually looking for your product and those who have the interest to buy and is looking around where to buy. This is achieved though by making sure you are posting your ads to relevant sites.

Pay per Click Marketing: Know your Tool

Tuesday, July 7th, 2009

Optimize Search Engine Results | How to Optimize Search Engine Results | Optimize Search Engine Results

Many would probably find pay per click different from the usual advertising tools that we often encounter in the Internet. Before, those annoying pop-ups trying to sell something online would often bother online users who are surfing the internet. Pay per click is indeed different because it does not force itself to consumers like the other aggressive forms of advertising online.

As pay per click is not like the annoying aggressive approach to advertising, it has known to give good results in advertising. In pay per click, you can post your ads in related websites or websites that are relevant to your business.

When people online get to visit the sites with your ad on it, and they get interested with your what you offer and click on your ads, they will then be redirected to your site. As soon as your ad is clicked, you can then pay the website owner of the rate that you have agreed to pay for each click, hence the name pay per click.

It is not impossible however that some people may engage in unscrupulous acts over the internet and generate some robotic means to click the ads mechanically. This would not be a problem because pay per click has also foreseen this and created a solution before you can actually lose money on these cheats. In pay per click, you can pay only to clicks that are unique - which means they came from actual people online.

What makes pay per click marketing then an effective advertising method? The thing about pay per click is that if properly implemented, the tool brings interested customers online to your website. This makes it reliable in terms of getting good sales of your products or services.

The best result in your pay per click campaign is often attributed to posting your ads in relevant websites. In this way, the visitors of that site are most likely the ones who also have an interest in your product and thus, there are greater chances that they are looking around to buy something.
